It's the 50th anniversary of the Calgary Marathon and to celebrate a 50 km race will be added to the event this year. It's expected that 15,000 participants will be showing up to run in a variety of races and this year there's a lot of prize money up for grabs. The organizers have put together a prize money pool of $50,000.

This is expected to be the biggest marathon ever held in Calgary and with 15,000 expected to attend, it's a 30% increase over the amount of participants that showed up last year. The race has a lot of history to it. The event is the oldest Canadian marathon that has been continually run and organized by the same original group.

A couple of real estate agents in Vancouver, Jordan and Russ Macnab, are testing out a quad helicopter to make promotional videos on some luxury properties they have for sale. This gives a drone's eye view of a particular house and is especially useful for marketing purposes.

The videos are produced with a DJI Phantom helicopter that has a GoPro camera attached to it. The helicopter is then flown through and around the house. The result is an amazing video that captures a bird’s eye view of both the inside and the outside of the luxury home.

From May 2 up until May 10, prepare yourself to eat some burgers and vote for your favorite one! This year there will be 30 restaurants competing in the battle of the burger. Each of the participating restaurants will be creating their own special burgers and they will be delicious!

Burgers will be available in 3 separate categories that include $10 burgers, $15 burgers and $20 burgers. Proceeds from the sales, 10%, will be donated to charity. Every category will have its own winner and there will be a special award given to the restaurant that is the most generous.
