Lest we forget to honour those who fought for our freedom.  Here are just some of the ways you and your family can remember our fallen soldiers and heroes on November 11.

Field of Crosses

Every fall, 3,000 crosses are planted on the field beside Memorial Drive between 3 Street NW and Centre Street to honour 3,000 Southern Alberta soldiers who gave their lives in battles dating back to the Boer War.  A walk through the rows of crosses will reveal the names of each soldier, their rank and how old they were when they fell victim to the enemy.  A flag raising ceremony at sunrise and sunset at the site will truly impact every visitor.  The flag ceremony will be held twice daily from now until November 11 with a Remembrance Day Service beginning at
