The largest annual trade show of its kind in Alberta is back in Calgary for another year. BUILDEX Calgary is holding its 14th annual show at Stampede Park's BMO center on Tuesday and Wednesday for the building and design industry. The event will feature 60 speakers, 225 exhibitors and 35 seminars. In total, it's expected that at least 4000 people will be attending the show.
A lot of focus at the conference seminars will revolve around the June flood. A panel will be moderated by Andrée Iffrig, the sustainability team leader at DIRTT Environmental Solutions, to discuss the issues surrounding the flood. Some valid points need to be considered following the flood and its aftermath including further development and possibly implementing building codes for properties being built by the rivers.
Industry professionals will be on hand at the event showcasing the newest trends and products available in Alberta. BUILDEX has the purpose of bringing together 4 industries that regularly work alongside one another according to the show's director, Paul Maryschak. These industries include:
- Property managers
- Construction industry professionals
- Interior designers
BUILDEX is all about managing, building and designing real estate. It's your chance to collaborate and network with thousands of different professionals in various industries and learn more about the newest services and technologies available. You're sure to discover new trends that you weren't aware of and you'll definitely hear more about environmentally-friendly building and design standards.
