From May 2 up until May 10, prepare yourself to eat some burgers and vote for your favorite one! This year there will be 30 restaurants competing in the battle of the burger. Each of the participating restaurants will be creating their own special burgers and they will be delicious!
Burgers will be available in 3 separate categories that include $10 burgers, $15 burgers and $20 burgers. Proceeds from the sales, 10%, will be donated to charity. Every category will have its own winner and there will be a special award given to the restaurant that is the most generous.
If you're interested in taking part in the YYC Burger Week, here is the lineup of participating restaurants:
$20 burgers: Anejo, Yellow Door Bistro, Blue Star Diner, Selkirk Grille, Brasserie Kensington, Notable, Diner Deluxe, National on 10th, downtownfood, Market, and Main Dish.
$15 burgers: Blowfish Sushi Lounge, Winebar Kensington, Canvas Bistro, Oak Tree Tavern, Craft Beer Market, Naina's Kitchen, Fine Diner Inglewood, Murdoch's Bar and Grill, Grumans Deli, Loungeburger and Houston's Public House.
$10 burgers: Burger 320, Billingsgate, Eats of Asia, Clive Burger, Flipp’n Burgers, Primal Soup Company, National on 17th and Ship & Anchor.
There will be a variety of burgers offered that include patties made of bison, beef, duck and tuna. Last year’s participants consumed about 6,000 burgers and the winner of the event was the custom-stuffed burger available at Naina's Kitchen. Last year there were only 16 restaurants competing but due to the success and the popularity of the event, the number of participants has grown to 30 this year. It should be a spectacular week of burger creations and you may want to schedule some time to check out a few of them in the next few days.
