Your Windows Don't have to be White

White is the overwhelming color you'll see on window frames everywhere - but it doesn't have to be that way. White first became popular during the Victorian times. Since the windows were so small, the white frames made them appear to be larger. With the size of windows as they are now, the white frame is no longer a necessity.

You can now purchase windows on the market with different frame colors. There is new technology that has been put together to handle the peeling and fading issues. If you're thinking about painting your wooden window frames this year, you might want to consider something other than white.

The window frames can be used to create a completely new and unique look to your home. They can add a contrasting color that complements your home beautifully.

Aluminum window frames are sold with a powder coating in a wide range of colours. When you're choosing the color you'll have to be sure that it will match your home because they can't be repainted. The same is true for vinyl windows. If you choose fiberglass windows though, they can be repainted easily.

By simply changing the colors of your frames your home can look drastically different. If your frames are looking dull and you're thinking about selling your home in the near future, this can certainly spark up your home and may just give it the added change needed to present itself well for a quick sale.

If you're not planning on selling soon, and are just ready for a change, painting the frames is a fairly inexpensive proposition and one that can often be done over the course of a weekend by a good painter or handyman. When you don't know what else to do in order to give the exterior of your home some excitement, head to the paint store, gather up some samples and let the painting begin!
